Brian O’Neil – President
Prior to going into ministry, Brian worked in the banking, insurance and real estate development industries. Since serving on his first mission team in high school, Brian has had a consistent passion for serving God’s people both internationally and locally. Brian graduated from Auburn University with a degree in International Business with a specialization in Finance. He has extensive experience working in ministry finance, as a church administrator and board member for several non-profits. Brian and his family worship and serve at Church of the Highlands in Auburn, AL. He is married to Caroline and the father to four beautiful children.
Bill McMahon – Director of Operations
Bill has over 30 years of diverse operational, sales, organizational, and financial management experience in both the for-profit and not-for-profit arenas. He co-founded a nationally recognized Program Management consulting firm that specialized in the delivery of large replacement hospital projects. That company was acquired by a strategic buyer and this allowed Bill to step away and be more involved in other areas of interest. Bill’s gifts and talents are primarily centered around operations and financial management. He has been described as process-oriented, a team builder, a collaborator, an excellent listener, and an effective manager.
Bill is a graduate of Auburn University, with a BA in Building Construction. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Lindsey and Reed, and reside in Birmingham, Alabama. He loves the outdoors and spends as much time as possible at beautiful Lake Martin.
Caleb Murphree – Communications and Intern Manager
Caleb serves on our team as the Communications and Intern Manager, leveraging his experience in team building, leadership development, and creativity to lead our intern and creative teams. He has a passion for discipleship and seeing college students step into their God-given purpose as they finish out their education. In the same way, he is driven to assist ministries in their journey to increasing impact by creatively communicating vision to their supporters.
He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Communication and a minor in Philosophy and Religion. Caleb is also a graduate of Highlands College. He lives in Birmingham and worships at Church of the Highlands.
Ed Wright – Senior Program Manager
Ed is serving our team as a Program Manager, leveraging his experience in real estate development to help our ministry partners manage the planning, design and construction of their capital projects. He and his wife Julia live in the Birmingham area and worship at Faith Presbyterian Church. His three children, their spouses and his grandchildren all live nearby and he and his wife love spending as much time with them as they’ll let them!
After Ed’s 37 years in the real estate development and construction industry, he ended his career as an Executive Vice President of a $9 billion REIT managing all the company’s multifamily development and construction in the southern US. During his career, Ed was involved in the construction and development of over $1.5 billion in multifamily projects during the course of career. He was President of in-house construction company building all the REIT’s multifamily projects. Ed is a licensed General Contractor (inactive status) in Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee. He graduated with a Building Science degree from Auburn University. He has extensive experience in all aspects of development and construction from site selection through completion in markets throughout the southern United States.
Allan Mwangi – Architect
Allan is serving our team as the team architect, leveraging his experience to help our ministry partners manage the planning and design of their capital projects. He is a practicing architect registered in the Republic of Kenya. He has been practicing since 2008, getting his registration certificate on 2011.
He has been involved in quite a number of projects ranging from private residences, apartment buildings, institutional buildings and office blocks.
His love of mentorship and leadership has involved in the advent of a wonderful movement called Africa Youth Leadership Forum which has sent its roots deep into East African Universities walking with student leaders to mold them to the best they can be.
Blake Oliver – Program Manager
Blake initially joined our team as a Project Manager Fellow in Kenya, eager to see how God is moving overseas. Using his past 8 years in construction management after degrees in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from the University of Florida, he started his “boots on the ground” tenure in the beautiful country of Kenya.
Since returning from his fellowship in Kenya, Blake joined the Third Lens team as a Program Manager. Based in Jacksonville, FL, Blake is passionate about seeing the kingdom grow through partnership work. From taking short term mission trips to India and Wales along with taking the Perspectives class, a potential interest arose in cross-cultural work, both project management and discipleship.
