Project Description

The training provided from the facility, coupled with ongoing ministry programs where the training is played out, will provide an immensely rich experience for the global holistic ministry practitioner.

Work on the interior and exterior of both buildings is underway after the roof and ceiling have been installed. This training center will provide critical classrooms, meeting areas and offices for the preparation of community leaders travelling from distant places all over Eastern Africa. Daily progress of remaining construction activities has the project on target to finish both building during the final months of 2014 with inauguration festivities planned for February 2015.

It is amazing to see the vision taking shape in this field outside the city of Nairobi, Kenya. Recently, Executive Director Dr. Muindi shared with TL about this new phase of growth and expansion at LIA. New relationships with neighbors around the site expand the community adding opportunities to the many activities far away. Her excitement explodes in a smile as she explained their action of physically pouring the concrete on the Word of God as part of a firm foundation. This leadership is depending on God and listening as they serve a generation of leaders in Eastern Africa.

Life in Abundance International (LIA) ministers to communities with a model based on the power of a relationship with God, transformation is the theological concept that the gospel should bring about changes within the spiritual, social and material dimensions of a community. Nine years ago, Dr. Muindi, International, Executive Director of LIA, was on an early morning prayer walk alongside Lake Langano in Ethiopia. On this walk, she received a clear vision from God, where He asked her to dip her hand in the sand and collect a fistful of sand. God then said, ‘as many as are these grains of sand you have picked, so will be the leaders who will be empowered through Life In Abundance.’ That powerful experience is becoming a reality through the establishment of the LIA Training Center just outside Nairobi, Kenya.
