Project Description

In a country where scarcely half the children complete primary school, virtually all of HUM’s sponsored children do, many at HUM’s Genesis Primary School. One in six of the country’s youth attends secondary schooling while only two-thirds of these actually graduate. Even less attend or complete vocational or university degrees.

All of the ministry’s sponsored youth receive the opportunity, and nearly all complete their secondary education as well as higher educational training. Our efforts and goals have begun to bear fruit, as many of the earliest sponsored children have secured life sustaining employment, and have become leaders in their families, churches and communities, ending the cycle of poverty in their generation.

This project includes the addition of a third classroom building to the campus. The structure will be tied into an existing school building by a shared stairwell and addition of a new stairwell leading to the Genesis Dining Hall, which Third Lens participated on in 2016-17.
