How To Lead and Love to Change Children’s Lives:
Ron Gunter is connecting local leaders loving abused and abandoned children through partnerships around the globe. As Vice President of International Childcare with Orphan’s Heart, he touches the lives of disadvantaged and orphaned children in the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, Tanzania, and Uganda. Building relationships with workers on the ground, he engages others to bring experience and expertise addressing resource gaps that will further strengthen their ongoing activities.
Third Lens Ministries first partnered with Orphan’s Heart to serve the crisis situation of rebuilding in Haiti after the devastating earthquake. Their work in developing the relationships laid the ground work needed to engage with technical needs of design and planning. The work of architects and engineers donated services for this new facility were received and implemented in a timely way that exemplified stewardship and quality with the ongoing participation of staff and volunteers at Orphans Heart.
Currently, a new partnership led by Orphan’s Heart is constructing a large first home for identified orphaned children in Arusha, Tanzania. Third Lens continues to find important bricks fitted in to form relationships, prioritize needs, and develop donor networks with these amazing local ministries to be a critical step in the impact of technical services and facility planning. The emerging possibilities to serve in additional places that announce His name through acts of love and unity are incredible.
