Third Lens board and staff are grateful for the opportunities to serve amazing organizations touching lives in 8 countries during 2013. Partnering to build environments for activities of healing and spiritual growth has given each of us a glimpse into the ways of God and the power of love. As new doors open for 2014, we celebrate the generous support and encouragement from many partners, donors and participants.
Along with new projects in global locations, industry and volunteer involvement has expanded our activities providing many first time opportunities. The growth has brought the organization to working relationships with 29 industry partners and 26 ministries. This excitement continues to propel the organization to further develop services assisting organizations committed to the vulnerable.
Increased activities bring challenge to the growth model. The steps to move toward ministry sustainability and long term staffing allow full engagement with more partners to get needed buildings completed and operating. The “Third Lens” name refers to a need to look at the pain and suffering of the world through spiritual lenses. As policy and economics will always be lenses to view and address human suffering in the global community, the layering of a spiritual lens spurs those of faith to action.
May the New Year bring courage and strength to act with love separating ourselves from actions based on habit, routine, and duty. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
