A new initiative builds on the actions of Third Lens connecting participants with our neighbor in Atlanta. Third Lens service days intend to join the work of established ministries that reach out to the under-served of our city, Atlanta. Faith based organizations in this city are responding to growing needs and expanding programs with donor support. Within this response, facility development needs present challenges for all.
Saturday, May 4th, Third Lens Service Team will join Serve ATL, a project initiated by the Vinings Church to serve the city of Atlanta through giving a hand up to ministries that are on the front-lines to share the love of Christ. This opportunity has introduced us to the ministry Wilderness Works, addressing the needs of children living in situations of crisis. Work has already begun incorporating civil engineering professions and general contractors to address structural concerns. Volunteers are registering to join us and materials quantified to build a ramp that will access the warehouse door. There’s still time to join us and join others from all over the city as we give others a hand up. Contact Kyle Huhtanen if you would like more details about this opportunity or to be on our contact list for a Fall opportunity that is in the works.
Third Lens Ministries’ founder Lee Carroll responded to a call almost 4 years ago to connect his business endeavors with the business to do God’s work. Reaching out to those who were already serving others in need of basic healthcare and healing, Third Lens constructed a model to partner with amazing ministries working on the front lines to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Partnerships have connected skilled professionals as well as enthusiastic volunteers to serve in facility development to the countries of Honduras, Haiti, El Salvador, and Tanzania. These opportunities to serve in God’s business are strengthening faith, sharing love, and increasing the witness to kingdom life.
