Engaging to serve with those who are touching those in need is powerful. In the past few months, Third Lens Ministries enjoyed the opportunity to share time with individuals who are engaged in work all over the world. This extensive work convicts us to the way God does business through our hearts and our hands. From villages in Tanzania Africa to neighborhoods in Atlanta, the same call is moving people to action.
The move to action in a limited economy is part of God’s plan to unify the workers in work that must be done. While world economies are no barrier for our God, He will definitely use this perception to strengthen His purpose.
Many ministries are expanding their programs and extending their activities. Growth strategies emerge to pursue the mission that is in front of them. Partnerships give impulse to act and take the next step forward. Third Lens recognizes the limitation of non-profit organizations in adding personnel and creating new divisions. The budgets have not grown, nor the donations increased, but the work goes on and the impact is growing.
Partnerships give impulse to act and take the next step forward.
After 3 years serving those who are on the front lines, Third Lens celebrates 2 partnerships building upon what has started. After completing initial projects, the challenge to address facility development takes new steps building upon the experiences and alliances that have allowed God to work through us together.
PREDISAN was the first partnership constructing new facilities and new possibilities for healthcare in the remote region of Wasparani. Today, that partnership consider the needs of CEREPA and the needs of the drug and alcohol rehabilitation center entering it’s 25th year of service. Located on 7 acres, this facility hosts a ministry confronting lives that are destroyed by the affects of drug abuse. This center seeks to diversify services to better treat patients who are younger and more diverse. Confronting multiple drug dependencies from all over Central America, this center seeks to intercede in the lives of those reaching out for help.
Orphan’s Heart partnered with Third Lens Ministries in 2011 to answer a call to the crisis of homeless orphans in Haiti after the earthquake. Equipped with volunteers and Haitian partners, Orphan’s Heart worked with Third Lens to develop the design and construction documents to construct a new home. Opening in the next two months, the partnership with Orphans’ Heart looks to build upon this relationship and address the orphans in Tanzania. Connecting with Tanzanian organization, Small Steps for Compassion, the unity of hearts seeks to work alongside staff caring for orphans and envisioning a long term commitment to transform the life for a generation of children.
