“The training provided from the facility, coupled with ongoing ministry programs where the training is played out, will provide an immensely rich experience for the global holistic ministry practitioner.”
Dr. Miundi- Executive Director of Life in Abundance International
LIA has accepted an invitation to expand their holistic development in Jamaica. An existing retreat center outside of Mandeville Jamaica, this exciting opportunity opens many doors for training and preparation of Christian leaders in the Caribbean. TL has participated in an initial assessment of existing structures, plans, and property conditions. Next steps will include developing the priorities, scope of work, and timelines to deliver LIA’s vision to use this center as a tool for preparing the church to serve the community.
Life in Abundance International (LIA) ministers to communities with a model based on the power of a relationship with God, transformation is the theological concept that the gospel should bring about changes within the spiritual, social and material dimensions of a community. Nine years ago, Dr. Muindi, International, Executive Director of LIA, was on an early morning prayer walk alongside Lake Langano in Ethiopia. On this walk, she received a clear vision from God, where He asked her to dip her hand in the sand and collect a fistful of sand. God then said, ‘as many as are these grains of sand you have picked, so will be the leaders who will be empowered through Life In Abundance.’ That powerful experience is becoming a reality through the establishment of the first LIA Training Center just outside Nairobi, Kenya and new alliances in the western hemisphere to bring new training methods to Jamaica.
